About Me

Hello, I’m a seasoned technical executive and frontend web developer based in San Diego, CA that specializes in custom WordPress websites and scalable web applications. The last 16 years I’ve worked as a freelance developer, at a small start-up, and a big corporation.

Most recently, I worked for Rebel IQ(formerly known as LeadPops) where I was responsible for managing all software development, product development and technical support.

I enjoy helping teams realize their full potential by trying to understand how they work today, and helping them establish standards and processes to make their work lives less stressful and more productive.

Besides building websites and managing teams, I'm a drummer, diehard Lakers fan, kayaker, avid saltwater fisherman and have taken a strong interest in Ancient History.

• Managed a team of 10 technical support engineers and 5 QA engineers.
• Manage all Product Support, including all website buildouts and website customization requests
• Created a central hub of internal tools to optimize repetitive tasks and limit direct access to servers and databases

- • Building a new team of developers, designers and project managers
- • Creating a new website framework to ensure scalability and performance goals are met

• Manage a team of 45 developers, scrum masters and administrative assistants.
• Lead initiative to streamline our Product Development and Support processes, by migrating from Trello and google docs to Confluence and Jira
• Lead initiative to established GITFLOW and proper Development/Staging environments
• Lead initiative to harden our website ecosystem against persistent DDOS and hack attempts, going from frequent downtime due to DDOS attacks to zero downtime as a result of
• Successfully migrated thousands of clients and hundreds of thousands of dollars in MRR from InfusionSoft to Chargebee payment system.
• Lead initiative to improve our server uptime by optimizing our backend servers and implementing server monitoring
• Lead initiative to automate our SSL creation using Let's Encrypt
• Developed our first Real Estate Wordpress Theme, and integrated with Showcase IDX
• Lead Product Dev for SpeedUP Plugin that is used internally to take any of our websites and optimize them by 65%, achieving Google PageSpeed Scores of 99-100%
